cuddle + kind is a social endeavor founded by Jennifer and Derek Woodgate, parents of three young children in Milton, Ontario. The British founders of Cocoon realized that home security was too complicated and expensive—most people in the UK and the US didn’t bother with it. So they set out to make a home security system that everyone could use. Their compact device Cocoon detects infrasonic sound waves that humans can’t hear, keeping homes safe without false alarms. Backers were inspired by this new vision of simple home security, so Cocoon was able to raise $249,860. Cocoons are now sold on Amazon and have made it to 55 countries. These young British entrepreneurs had the idea to create sunglasses that allow you to see the world through an uplifting, colored filter. The Tens team raised more than £370,000 ($453,000) from 9,300 backers and have shipped to more than 100 countries. Things got even more exciting when business magnate Richard Branson tried a pair on his kite-surfing trip to Necker Island. From Germany, the Soundbrenner is a vibrating metronome which makes it easier for musicians to stay on beat. The team has raised more than $230,000 and shipped to thousands of people in more than 60 countries. They’ve won Best in Show at the National Association of Music Merchants (the largest music trade show in the world), opened offices in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Berlin, and partnered with some of the largest music retailers in the business. This father-and-son team from Australia found their passion in beekeeping, but they dreaded the hassle of extracting honey from a beehive. It required costly equipment that sometimes hurt or disturbed the bees. So the Andersons created Flow Hive to put honey on tap. The Fine Brothers’s transmedia sitcom MyMusic raised money on Indiegogo for Little Kids Rock, a charity that brings music to underprivileged schools. The team used its existing popularity to give back to a great cause and raise awareness of a charity they cared about. The team soon fulfilled all of its perks including Skype calls, hoodies and VIP access.

With a goal of $50,000, the campaign ended up raising $223,007 and gave Hannah the opportunity to take her tour to Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
Rooster Teeth Funds a Feature Length Sci-Fi Comedy
Rooster Teeth came to Indiegogo to take on a new adventure as they prepared for their first full-length feature film. After raising $2.48 million and breaking a crowdfunding record, “Lazer Team” is now in production and slated for a highly-anticipated Spring 2015 release. Fullscreen, a massive YouTube network of more than 50,000 video creators, has also since acquired Rooster Teeth.
